Zhao E Long

Zhao E Long is calm, patient and methodical. He contrasts sharply with Yao Yun's grim aggression, preferring to study the enemy and create situations in which multiple tactical layers protect his position.

His defining loyalty is to Xiang Ru Lin. Decades after serving him, Zhao E Long continues to view his master's ambitions and final instructions as obligations that must be fulfilled.

Zhao E Long is an accomplished strategist capable of constructing layered defensive formations and traps. His battlefield role under Xiang Ru Lin emphasizes protection, containment and the systematic destruction of enemies drawn into prepared positions.

He is also a competent frontline warrior and uses a glaive when forced into close combat. His strongest attribute, however, remains the combination of tactical intelligence and veteran leadership.

His elite forces include experienced soldiers capable of executing complex orders under pressure, making his army difficult to penetrate even for powerful offensive units.

Zhao E Long serves among Xiang Ru Lin's Ten Heroes during the era of Zhao's original Three Great Heavens. When their master dies from illness, Zhao E Long and Yao Yun are ordered not to follow him into death and are entrusted with his final wishes.

He returns to major combat during the Western Zhao invasion and participates in the Battle of Shukai Plains. There he eventually faces the Fei Xin Force.

Zhao E Long surrounds Xin and attempts to destroy the Fei Xin Force through layered formations and elite troops. Xin ultimately breaks through to his headquarters and kills him in direct combat.

Xiang Ru Lin is Zhao E Long's former lord and the person to whom he remains devoted long after the Great General's era ends.

Yao Yun is his closest surviving fellow deputy. The two represent the sword and shield of their former master's army.

Xin becomes Zhao E Long's principal opponent during the Battle of Shukai Plains. Xin eventually reaches his headquarters and defeats him.

Liao Diao He directs the Fei Xin Force's strategy against Zhao E Long's complex formations.
