Yvette

Yvette is observant, intelligent and creative. Drawing is her most distinctive interest, and she frequently keeps a pencil and sketchpad nearby.

She is quieter than some of the more energetic younger children but still participates in their games and group activities. Her attention to detail complements the practical skills she later learns.

Like her siblings, Yvette is frightened by the truth behind Grace Field but chooses to help rather than withdraw.

Yvette has no supernatural abilities. Her clearest talent is drawing, and she is described as artistically inclined from childhood.

After joining the escape preparations, she helps gather and hide supplies. Life outside Grace Field gives her additional experience with ordinary survival tasks.

At Shelter B06-32, Yvette and the other young escapees learn to gather food and contribute to maintaining the children's new home.

Yvette grows up in Isabella's Plant 3 and is one of the five-year-olds eventually included in the escape plan.

She escapes Grace Field with the children old enough to make the journey and travels through the demon forest to Shelter B06-32.

Yvette remains with the family through their later movements, including the evacuation of the shelter and relocation to the Paradise Hideout.

Emma becomes one of Yvette's principal older-sibling protectors and includes her in the escape.

Isabella raises Yvette as her Mama.

Alicia, Rossi, Christie and Mark are among Yvette's younger Grace Field companions.
