Yukitaka Akiha

Yukitaka is affectionate toward Rumiho and takes her interests seriously despite his business responsibilities. His relationship with his daughter is much warmer than her exaggerated maid persona might initially suggest.

He is also willing to support unusual scientific ideas. Years before the Future Gadget Laboratory exists, he provides assistance to research involving time travel rather than dismissing it outright.

Yukitaka has no supernatural abilities. His influence comes from wealth, business connections and his position as an important figure in Akihabara.

The Akiha family's property ownership gives him the ability to affect development in the district. His financial resources also allow him to support research projects that would otherwise struggle to obtain backing.

Yukitaka is primarily introduced through Faris's family history. His relationship with her explains both the Akiha family's influence and the emotional stakes behind the D-Mail Faris later asks to send.

His earlier life also connects him to time-travel research independently of his daughter's involvement with the Future Gadget Laboratory.

In the original world line, Yukitaka dies in a plane crash after leaving home to obtain an IBN 5100 for Rumiho. Faris's D-Mail changes the past so that he survives, but the alteration also produces a radically different Akihabara. She ultimately reverses the message.

Rumiho Akiha is Yukitaka's daughter, whom he loves deeply and attempts to support despite the demands of his work.

Dr. Nakabachi knew Yukitaka through their earlier interest in time-travel research.

Hashida Suzu encourages Yukitaka and Nakabachi's earlier research into time travel after arriving in the past.
