Younger Vanish Brother

The Younger Vanish Brother is arrogant, excitable, and more easily provoked than his elder sibling. He becomes visibly irritated when Natsu Dragneel dismisses the brothers or treats their reputation casually.

Like his brother, he looks down on mages for supposedly neglecting physical conditioning. He takes particular pride in the Southern Wolves' approach of strengthening the body and intellect specifically to counter magic users.

Both brothers are also observant enough to classify unfamiliar magic and adapt their fighting strategy accordingly.

The Younger Vanish Brother possesses exceptional brute strength. He can throw Natsu through a stone wall with one hand, smash rock with his bare fists, and claims to have broken the bones of another mage before that opponent could activate Curse Magic.

His speed is similarly notable. The Vanish Brothers move rapidly enough that one can disappear from an opponent's attention while the other attacks, forming the basis of their nickname.

During Heaven and Earth Extinct Slaying Attack, the older brother launches him high into the air with the Giant Frying Pan. If the opponent watches the older brother below, the younger crashes down from overhead; if they look upward, the older strikes from the ground.

The Younger Vanish Brother first appears at Everlue Mansion after Everlue hires the Southern Wolves mercenaries as bodyguards.

When Natsu, Lucy Heartfilia, and Happy infiltrate the estate, the brothers are ordered to kill Natsu while Everlue pursues Lucy.

The younger brother initially demonstrates the physical advantage the pair claims to have over ordinary mages, throwing Natsu through stone and helping land their signature combination.

Natsu survives the supposedly lethal technique and defeats both brothers with Fire Dragon's Wing Attack.

Seven years later, anime-original material has the brothers working as hired protection for gold thieves. Gray Fullbuster volunteers to fight them alone and defeats both with Ice-Make: Ice Bringer.

Older Vanish Brother is his elder sibling and permanent combat partner.

Everlue employs both brothers as mansion guards.

Natsu Dragneel defeats the pair during the Daybreak mission.

Gray Fullbuster later defeats them during an anime-original encounter.

Erza Scarlet accompanies Gray during that mission but lets him face the brothers himself.
