Yomi

Yomi is ambitious, fanatical, and willing to treat his own body as a vessel if it advances Mōryō's return. He views the destruction caused by the demon as the path to a new world order rather than a catastrophe.

He is also calculating enough to use empowered subordinates and ancient ritual knowledge rather than relying solely on his own combat strength.

Yomi is skilled in dark medical ninjutsu. He can implant chakra-enhancing entities into his followers, dramatically increasing their elemental power.

His most consequential ability is acting as a temporary host for Mōryō's spirit, allowing the demon to operate while its original body remains sealed.

Yomi releases Mōryō's spirit and dispatches the Gang of Four to kill Shion. Meanwhile, he travels toward the shrine containing Mōryō's physical body.

Yomi manipulates Shion into beginning the sealing ritual while he is positioned within it, allowing Mōryō's spirit to reunite with its body. Mōryō then discards Yomi's body once it is no longer needed.

Mōryō is the demon Yomi devotes himself to restoring. Shion is the priestess capable of stopping that plan.

Setsuna, Kusuna, Shizuku, and Gitai are the empowered subordinates who carry out Yomi's orders.
