Wataru Morinaka

Morinaka receives limited characterization away from baseball. He is primarily presented as a dependable club member who remains available as the team's defensive needs change.

His willingness to move from third base to the outfield allows Seishuu to restructure its lineup without creating unnecessary conflict over positions.

Morinaka initially plays third base for the rebuilt prefab lineup. He later moves to center field when Daiki Nakanishi shifts to third base.

Being able to contribute at both an infield corner and center field demonstrates useful defensive versatility. He bats eighth in the later Seishuu order, functioning primarily as a supporting hitter behind the team's stronger offensive players.

Morinaka becomes a starter when the prefab squad has to reorganize after its older players leave. He plays third base in the rematch against Daimon's varsity and contributes to the team attempting to prove that the discarded group can compete with Seishuu's favored first string.

The prefab team wins that rematch, allowing Maeno's players to become the foundation of the unified Seishuu club.

As the roster develops, Nakanishi moves to third base and Morinaka transitions to center field rather than disappearing from the team. He remains part of Seishuu's supporting lineup during subsequent competition.
