Velveno

Velveno initially appears cunning, evasive, and willing to break the law to reach his objectives. His Transformation Magic makes deception a natural part of his methods, and he has enough confidence in Magical Drain to enter a gathering filled with professional mages.

His criminal reputation conceals a sentimental and regretful side. Velveno's later actions are driven less by money than by unresolved feelings from the period before his imprisonment.

He is stubborn enough to risk recapture for a personal objective that could have been abandoned safely, showing that emotional commitments matter more to him than self-preservation.

Transformation Magic allows Velveno to alter his appearance and move through guarded locations without being recognized.

Magical Drain lets him copy magic from people he physically touches. He can retain multiple copied disciplines simultaneously, making his fighting style unusually unpredictable.

During the Balsamico Castle incident, he reproduces Wendy Marvell's Sky Dragon Slayer Magic and uses Sky Dragon's Roar. He also demonstrates copied abilities connected to Natsu Dragneel and Erza Scarlet, including Fire Dragon Slayer techniques and Requip equipment.

Velveno is initially mentioned when Gray Fullbuster notices a lucrative request for his capture. Team Natsu considers accepting the job but abandons it when Lucy leaves to help Jude Heartfilia.

Years later, Fairy Tail accepts another request concerning Velveno when Count Balsamico expects him to infiltrate the family's Magic Dance Ball.

Velveno enters disguised as a younger mage, mingles with the guests, copies several magical abilities, and waits until the ceremonial Balsamico Ring is unveiled.

Velveno's objective is ultimately revealed to be Aceto rather than the ring's monetary value. He once served her family and fell in love with her, but Count Balsamico expelled him because of their social difference. Velveno later escaped prison because obtaining the ring would give him the traditional right to propose to Aceto.

Aceto accepts the proposal on the condition that Velveno surrender and answer for his crimes. He agrees and allows the Rune Knights to take him away.

Aceto Balsamico is Velveno's longtime love interest. She accepts his proposal but requires him to complete his punishment before they can be together.

Balsamico is Aceto's father and Velveno's former employer. His refusal to accept Velveno's relationship with Aceto contributes to Velveno leaving the household and eventually turning to crime.

Wendy Marvell unknowingly dances with Velveno while he is disguised and becomes a source for one of his copied Dragon Slayer abilities.

Natsu Dragneel fights Velveno after the fugitive's identity is exposed.

Erza Scarlet confronts Velveno and sees elements of her Requip reproduced through Magical Drain.

Gray Fullbuster first brings Velveno's bounty to Team Natsu's attention years before the actual Balsamico Castle encounter.

Jude Heartfilia's situation causes Team Natsu to abandon its first attempt to take Velveno's capture job.
