Tsuyoshi Maejima

Maejima is cautious about protecting himself after committing a serious crime and willing to escalate the situation when someone threatens to expose him.

He is more concerned with avoiding identification and capture than with the consequences his actions have for innocent people.

Maejima has no supernatural powers or extraordinary fighting techniques.

He possesses the practical criminal experience necessary to participate in a bank robbery and evade immediate police detection. He also uses an abandoned location as a temporary hideout.

Maejima enters the story through a recent Osaka bank robbery. Conan and Heiji initially become involved because Satoshi Moriguchi has disappeared, without knowing that the missing-child case intersects with the robbery.

Satoshi unexpectedly encounters Maejima and Komiya at their hideout and sees their faces. The criminals restrain and hold him captive to prevent him from reporting them.

Conan and Heiji decipher Satoshi's clues and locate the hideout, leading to Maejima's capture and Satoshi's rescue.

Kaoru Komiya is Maejima's partner in the bank robbery and subsequent kidnapping.

Satoshi Moriguchi is held captive by Maejima and Komiya after witnessing them at their hideout.

Conan Edogawa and Heiji Hattori investigate Satoshi's disappearance and eventually trace the boy to Maejima's hideout.
