Tomashino Jiro

Tomashino is courageous, impulsive and loyal to his friend. Unlike many newcomers who panic once the temple statues begin moving, he fights back despite initially lacking the protection of a suit.

His success against smaller targets gives him confidence, but that confidence also encourages him to confront enemies far beyond the level he has already defeated.

He works closely with Kondo rather than separating from him during the increasingly dangerous mission.

Tomashino has no supernatural abilities or established formal combat training.

He nevertheless manages to defeat some of the smaller temple aliens without a Gantz suit, demonstrating considerable determination and practical fighting ability.

After locating his suit, he gains the enhanced strength and protection available to properly equipped hunters and attempts to use those advantages against stronger enemies.

Tomashino enters the Buddhist Temple mission among the large group of newcomers. He initially fights smaller targets without his suit and survives long enough to recover the equipment.

Together with Kondo, he then attempts to confront one of the mission's major enemies rather than remaining safely away from the battle.

The stronger temple aliens overwhelm the inexperienced pair, and Tomashino is killed during his first Gantz mission.

Yuta Kondo is Tomashino's friend and principal companion during the Buddhist Temple mission. The two fight together and attempt to confront a boss-level enemy after recovering their equipment.

Kei Kurono, Masaru Katou and Kei Kishimoto are the returning hunters participating in the same mission.
