Tobiume

Tobiume can be gentle and attentive toward Momo, particularly during her emotional collapse after Aizen’s betrayal. She is nevertheless proud, sensitive about her appearance and quick to quarrel when Haineko provokes her.

Under Muramasa’s influence, Tobiume’s concern becomes resentment over Momo’s continued fixation on Aizen. Once freed, she remains temperamental but again lends her power willingly.

When released, Tobiume straightens into a double-edged sword with several jitte-like prongs near the blade. It concentrates Momo’s spiritual power into fireballs that explode on impact, breach walls and damage large opponents.

Momo can combine Tobiume’s projectiles with her proficiency in Kidō, creating traps and layered attacks. The manifested spirit launches similar fireballs from her bells and can fire them rapidly in succession.

No Bankai has been revealed.

Momo uses Tobiume during the internal crisis caused by Sōsuke Aizen’s apparent death and later against Aizen’s forces in Fake Karakura Town.

In the anime-only rebellion, Muramasa turns Tobiume against Momo. The spirit voices frustration that Momo cannot release her attachment to Aizen, but their confrontation ultimately restores the bond between them.

Momo Hinamori is Tobiume’s wielder and spiritual counterpart. Tobiume cares for her but resents the emotional damage caused by Momo’s devotion to Sōsuke Aizen.

Haineko is Tobiume’s frequent companion and argumentative foil. Muramasa manipulates both spirits into rebelling, while Yoruichi Shihōin fights them during the uprising.
