Timcanpy

Timcanpy is curious, mischievous and remarkably expressive despite communicating without ordinary speech. He bites people, reacts emotionally to danger and frequently behaves more like a small animal companion than a machine.

He becomes strongly attached to Allen Walker, remaining close to him during travel and battles. Allen in turn treats Tim as a companion rather than disposable Black Order equipment.

Tim also retains an important connection to Cross Marian, whose orders and secrets are sometimes communicated through the golem.

Timcanpy can fly, record events and project images of what he has witnessed through his mouth. This allows him to function as a messenger and reconnaissance tool.

He can alter his physical size, ranging from his familiar palm-sized form to an enormous body capable of carrying or engulfing people. His mouth can expand far beyond what his ordinary dimensions suggest.

Timcanpy also displays unusual autonomy for a golem and can interact with mechanisms associated with Cross's work. The complete nature of his construction is not fully explained.

Cross leaves Timcanpy with Allen Walker, and the golem accompanies Allen when he travels to Black Order headquarters. From then on, Tim becomes a near-constant travelling companion.

His recordings sometimes preserve information unavailable from any other witness, making him useful beyond ordinary communication. His connection to Cross also becomes increasingly important as Allen searches for answers about his master.

Timcanpy later becomes a target because of the knowledge and connections inherited from Cross. His destruction during the later manga leaves Allen without one of his longest-standing companions and raises further questions about what Cross entrusted to him.

Allen Walker is Timcanpy's primary companion for most of the story. Allen treats him affectionately and relies on his recordings and assistance.

Cross Marian is Timcanpy's original owner and the person responsible for entrusting him to Allen.

Nea D. Campbell is connected to the secrets Timcanpy carries through Cross and the Fourteenth's plans.
