Takashi Inamori

Inamori is dismissive, impatient and initially convinced that the strange situation can be treated casually. When asked to explain who he is and how he arrived, he refuses and focuses instead on finding cigarettes.

He is curious about Gantz's technology. Once the sphere opens, Inamori immediately handles the weapons and begins experimenting with their controls.

His bravado weakens once the supposed game becomes visibly real. Confronting the consequences of the group's violence leaves him shaken rather than exhilarated.

Inamori has no supernatural abilities or established combat training, but he demonstrates unusual intuition with Gantz technology.

He is the first newcomer shown working out important functions of the X-Gun, recognizing its scanning display and experimenting with the trigger mechanism.

Inamori does not wear the Gantz suit, leaving him without the enhanced strength and protection available to properly equipped hunters.

Inamori is among the first group Kurono and Masaru Katou encounter after arriving in the Gantz apartment. He joins the other participants in pursuing the Onion Alien without understanding that the mission is genuinely lethal.

He experiments with the X-Gun and participates in the escalating violence surrounding the alien targets.

During the confrontation with the adult Onion Alien, Inamori fires at the creature. The alien's retaliation overwhelms the unequipped newcomers, and Inamori is killed during the attack.

Kei Kurono enters the Gantz room alongside Inamori during the first mission.

Masaru Katou irritates Inamori by objecting to his smoking before learning that Inamori is already twenty.

Masashi Yamada attempts to organize introductions among the confused participants, but Inamori refuses to cooperate.

Hiroshi Hatanaka and Kiyoshi Yoshioka are the Yakuza members fighting alongside Inamori during the Onion Alien mission.
