Taichi Miyamoto

Taichi is loyal, organized and more domestically capable than his group’s rough appearance suggests. His cooking skill and responsibility for Ganju’s curfew position him as a practical caretaker within the gang.

He readily joins the group’s theatrical entrances and boar-mounted rides, but he does not demonstrate Ganju’s appetite for direct confrontation. His support is expressed chiefly through attendance, routine assistance and admiration for his leader.

Taichi has no established spiritual combat techniques or named supernatural abilities. As a Soul living in Rukongai, he can interact normally with other spiritual beings, but he is not identified as a member of the Gotei 13.

He rides Cindy confidently and carries a conspicuously large alarm clock on his back. His only explicitly identified personal specialty is cooking.

Taichi first accompanies Ganju and the rest of the gang when they encounter Ichigo Kurosaki outside Kukaku’s residence. He witnesses the argument and fight between Ganju and Ichigo before departing with his companions.

He later watches Ganju prepare to enter the Seireitei with Ichigo’s group. Taichi’s reaction to Ganju’s explanation indicates that even his closest followers did not fully understand the personal grief behind Ganju’s hostility toward Soul Reapers.

Ganju Shiba is Taichi’s leader and the person he identifies himself as serving above the gang’s other members. Cindy is the boar he rides and whose hairstyle resembles his own.

Mitsuru Ishino, Sadatomo Saionji and Kenji Yamashita are his fellow gang members. Ichigo Kurosaki meets Taichi through his quarrel with Ganju.
