Shunichi Ike

Very little individual personality is established for Ike. His brief participation places him among the ordinary newcomers abruptly forced into a situation they have no preparation to understand.

Unlike several other members of the group, he does not survive long enough to establish a distinct philosophy toward Gantz or meaningful relationships with the returning hunters.

Ike has no established supernatural abilities or specialized combat skills.

Gantz makes its suits and weapons available to the participants, but Ike never demonstrates meaningful proficiency with the equipment.

Ike is transported to the Buddhist Temple mission with the large group of newcomers assembled alongside the returning Tokyo hunters.

He becomes the first member of the group to be killed during the Buddhist Temple mission, demonstrating almost immediately how dangerous the supposedly statue-like targets are.

His brief appearance helps establish the mission's high lethality before the hunters encounter its much stronger enemies.

Kei Kurono, Masaru Katou and Kei Kishimoto are among the experienced participants sent into the same Buddhist Temple mission as Ike.
