Shinkirou Kotobuki

Shinkirou is deliberately provocative and introduces himself through inappropriate comments rather than attempting to make a respectable impression. His behavior earns him the self-applied designation "Pervert Number Two."

He is nevertheless confident enough to confront Ajimu directly during the sequence of battles aboard the aircraft carrier. That confidence persists despite the enormous difference between ordinary fighters and a Not Equal with trillions of years of experience.

The manga gives Shinkirou relatively little independent characterization outside his brief participation in the wedding competition.

Shinkirou possesses significant combat ability and wears limiters on his wrists. Before fighting Ajimu, he announces that he will remove three of them, implying that the devices restrain his normal capabilities.

The full extent of his fighting style is never established because Ajimu counters him with a large collection of martial-arts skills before he can demonstrate much of his own arsenal.

His Shiranui background also places him within a lineage specifically developed around acting as substitutes for exceptional people.

Shinkirou appears aboard the aircraft carrier Black as one of the apparent suitors assembled for the second Jet Black Wedding Feast. He participates in the preliminary confrontations involving Ajimu and the family representatives.

The apparent identities of the gathered suitors are part of a deception: Shinkirou originates from the Shiranui Household and serves as the double of the actual Kotobuki representative, Joutou Kotobuki.

His presence helps reveal that the Shiranui Household has supplied doubles connected to the families participating in the wedding arrangement, extending the household's replacement system far beyond Hansode's role.

Joutou Kotobuki is the person for whom Shinkirou serves as a double, with Shinkirou becoming affiliated with the Kotobuki family after originating in the Shiranui Household.

Najimi Ajimu fights Shinkirou during the Jet Black Wedding Feast and defeats him using a large selection of martial-arts skills.

Medaka Kurokami is the intended bride around whom the Jet Black Wedding Feast is organized.

Hanten Shiranui founded the Shiranui Household from which Shinkirou originates.
