Shidan

Shidan is ruthless and opportunistic. After Salamander demonstrates its overwhelming power, he turns his attention toward capturing strong witches and orders his subordinates to take them as slaves.

He also behaves lecherously toward the women he captures, reinforcing the predatory nature of his conduct during the invasion. His confidence quickly disappears when he faces Asta directly and discovers that Anti Magic can cut through his plant-based attacks.

Shidan uses Plant Magic, generating and manipulating vegetation. His spells primarily manifest as fern-like fronds and vines that can be directed against opponents.

He possesses a grimoire containing plant-based spells. The limited battle shown against Asta suggests that Shidan is capable of attacking and restraining ordinary opponents but has little answer to Anti Magic.

Shidan accompanies Fana and the Eye of the Midnight Sun forces attacking the Witches' Forest. After Salamander destroys a giant Security Golem, Shidan orders his men to capture powerful witches.

By the time the Black Bulls intervene, he has personally captured several women. Vanessa Enoteca launches Asta toward the enemy formation, and Asta uses Shidan's subordinates as stepping stones while knocking them unconscious.

Shidan attempts to stop Asta with Plant Magic, but Asta cuts through the spell and knocks him unconscious with the Demon-Slayer Sword.

Like the other human members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, Shidan is ultimately sacrificed when Patolli activates the elf reincarnation ritual, which extracts the humans' mana and souls to complete the spell.

Fana commands the Eye of the Midnight Sun force with which Shidan attacks the Witches' Forest.

Salamander's destructive power impresses Shidan during the invasion.

Asta defeats Shidan after cutting through his Plant Magic.

Vanessa Enoteca helps launch Asta toward Shidan and the other Eye of the Midnight Sun mages.

Patolli leads the organization to which Shidan belongs and later uses its human members as sacrifices for the reincarnation ritual.
