Fana

Fana's underlying personality is kind, gentle, and compassionate. As a child in the Diamond Kingdom's experimental program, she befriends Mars rather than treating him simply as a rival and believes their strength should eventually be used to protect their country.

When she appears with the Third Eye, her behavior is radically more hostile. She expresses overwhelming hatred toward humans and attacks with little concern for collateral damage. This personality is the result of the elf Fana inhabiting her body and the reincarnation magic intensifying the elf's resentment toward humanity.

Once the possession is broken, the human Fana's original warmth returns. She remains deeply attached to Mars and accepts the help of people who rescue her from the forces that manipulated her.

Fana naturally possesses Fire Magic and is an accomplished offensive and healing mage. Her flames reach exceptionally high temperatures, while Phoenix Feathers Robe uses fire to heal injuries rather than cause them.

Diamond Kingdom experimentation gives her a second attribute, Crystal Magic, through the artificial transplantation of part of Mars's grimoire. She can create crystal weapons and constructs while retaining her original Fire Magic.

While associated with the Third Eye, Fana is also chosen by Salamander, one of the four great spirits. Salamander dramatically increases the scale and destructive force of her fire spells, allowing her to challenge captain-level opponents such as Nozel Silva.

Fana first appears through Mars's memories of the Diamond Kingdom's experimental program. The two children are raised together before being forced into a lethal competition intended to produce enhanced military mages.

She later appears directly as one of the Third Eye alongside Rhya and Vetto. Her largest early battle takes place in the Witches' Forest, where she attacks alongside Salamander while Diamond Kingdom forces invade from another direction.

Mars recognizes her and becomes determined to reach the friend he thought he had lost. Asta neutralizes the magical influence controlling Fana while Mars appeals to her memories. The human Fana regains control and eventually goes to live with Fanzell, Dominante, and Mariella.

Much later, Fana joins Mars and other Diamond Kingdom allies during the final conflict against Lucius's forces.

Mars is Fana's closest childhood friend and eventual romantic partner. The two endure the Diamond Kingdom's experimentation together and promise to use their strength to protect people. They are forced to fight one another during the program, and portions of their grimoires are transplanted between them. They later reunite in the Witches' Forest.

Fanzell Kruger teaches Fana during her time in the Diamond Kingdom's military training program and later provides her with a home after she is freed.

Mariella is another former student of Fanzell who later lives alongside Fana.

Dominante Code becomes part of the household that takes Fana in after the Witches' Forest conflict.

Rhya and Vetto fight beside Fana as fellow members of the Third Eye.

Salamander serves Fana while she is controlled by the elf spirit, greatly amplifying her Fire Magic.

Asta and Mars work together to free Fana from the magical influence controlling her.
