Seihi

Seihi is courageous, protective, stubborn, and deeply committed to Sosshi. He places the safety of his villagers ahead of his own and refuses to submit quietly when stronger people threaten them.

His personal philosophy centers on protecting the weak. This is expanded considerably in the anime through his history with Magna, where Seihi acts as an older authority figure capable of confronting the young delinquent without being intimidated by him.

Seihi also has a mischievous side. His dealings with Magna and Yami Sukehiro, including gambling with them, show a crafty personality very different from the solemn village elder he becomes during a crisis.

Seihi possesses a grimoire and can use Creation Magic to manifest weapons. His demonstrated creations include swords, a bow and arrows, and a gauntlet.

He is not a Magic Knight and lacks the combat strength of the professional mages who later arrive in Sosshi. Nevertheless, he willingly uses his magic against dangerous attackers when the village is threatened.

Seihi also possesses a magic stone that he regards as a protective charm. Its true importance is far greater than he initially understands, and it becomes the reason hostile mages target Sosshi.

Seihi's request for assistance brings the Black Bulls to Sosshi for Asta and Noelle's first official mission. The assignment appears simple: eliminate the wild boars damaging the village's crops.

The situation changes when Heath Graice and his companions arrive searching for Seihi's magic stone. Seihi refuses to cooperate and attempts to defend his home.

Heath kills Seihi after the village chief resists him. His death leaves the terrified villagers facing execution until Magna, Asta, and Noelle intervene.

The anime expands Seihi's significance through his earlier relationship with Magna. He repeatedly confronted Magna during the boy's delinquent youth and ultimately encouraged him to pursue the Magic Knights, making Seihi an important influence on the person Magna becomes.

Magna Swing has a particularly important connection to Seihi in the anime. Seihi knew him before he became a Magic Knight, repeatedly challenged his delinquent behavior, and encouraged him to direct his strength toward protecting others.

Yami Sukehiro knows Seihi through his dealings with Magna and loses a wager connected to the village's request for help.

Asta reaches Sosshi as part of his first Black Bulls mission and witnesses the consequences of Seihi's refusal to surrender to the attackers.

Noelle Silva accompanies Asta and Magna on the mission to Sosshi and helps protect the villagers.

Heath Graice attacks Sosshi in pursuit of the magic stone held by Seihi. He kills the village chief when Seihi attempts to resist.

Nick and Anna are Seihi's grandchildren and residents of Sosshi.
