Sawamura

Sawamura is loyal, rough-edged and comfortable following Kuwabara's lead. Like the other members of the group, he initially fits the image of a school delinquent but repeatedly demonstrates genuine concern for his friends.

He participates in the group's schemes and arguments but does not possess Kuwabara's intense sense of dramatic honor. Much of his characterization comes from the easy familiarity among the four boys.

Sawamura remains one of Kuwabara's ordinary Human World friends even as Kuwabara's own life becomes dominated by demons and Spirit World.

Sawamura has no established supernatural abilities. He is capable of ordinary schoolyard fighting but cannot meaningfully compete against demons or psychics.

His encounters with supernatural opponents during the Chapter Black Saga emphasize the enormous difference between ordinary humans and Territory users.

Sawamura appears throughout Kuwabara's early school storyline as one of his closest companions. He is involved when corrupt teachers attempt to force the group into circumstances that will justify punishment or expulsion.

During the Chapter Black Saga, Sawamura accompanies Kuwabara, Kirishima and Okubo to a Megallica concert.

Afterward, Kiyoshi Mitarai traps the group within his water creatures. The threat to Sawamura and the others drives Kuwabara into an emotional crisis that helps awaken the Dimension Sword.

Kuwabara carries his injured friends to Yusuke's apartment, and Kurama subsequently removes their memories of the incident to spare them knowledge of the supernatural conflict.

Kazuma Kuwabara is Sawamura's close friend and the central figure in their school group.

Kirishima frequently appears alongside Sawamura as another member of Kuwabara's circle.

Okubo is Sawamura's other close school friend.

Kiyoshi Mitarai uses his Territory to endanger Sawamura and the rest of Kuwabara's friends.

Kurama removes Sawamura's memories of the supernatural incident afterward.
