Rumi

Rumi's individual personality has not been developed as extensively as those of Gachi and Ruri. She appears primarily in the context of the Gachi family and participates in the lively atmosphere created by its many children.

Her limited individual characterization makes it inappropriate to assign her specific personality traits beyond what is directly shown through those family appearances.

Rumi has no established supernatural powers or named abilities. Unlike her older brother, whose extraordinary physical strength is repeatedly emphasized, she has not received substantial combat or athletic characterization.

Rumi appears through stories involving Gachi's home and family. Her presence helps establish an important part of Gachi's life outside school: he is the oldest sibling in a large household and regularly assists with looking after the younger children.

The Gachi family also provides a contrast with Motsuo's wealthy household and Bondo's smaller home. Rumi and her siblings make Gachi's domestic life crowded and demanding, helping explain why responsibility and consideration come so naturally to him.

Gorilla Gachi is Rumi's older brother and helps care for her as part of his responsibilities within the family.

Ruri Gachi is Rumi's older sister and another of the Gachi siblings given recurring attention in the series.

Goriji Gachi and Gorisuke Gachi are Rumi's brothers and fellow members of the Gachi household.
