Ritz

Ritz is energetic, obedient and relentlessly cheerful while carrying out Mabashi’s orders. She speaks in a high-pitched voice and announces her direction of travel in the manner of an elevator operator.

Her loyalty depends partly on her master’s strength. When Mabashi is mortally weakened, his authority over Ritz collapses and her copies turn against him.

Ritz flies at high speed and can pierce metal or concrete through momentum. She transforms her head into a narrow tendril, tunnels into a victim’s chest and attaches herself directly to the soul.

Once embedded, she controls the host’s body and can access their spiritual abilities, including Kidō and Zanpakutō techniques. In Soul Society’s reishi-rich environment, Ritz creates numerous copies and possesses multiple Shinigami simultaneously.

A sufficiently powerful rejection or direct spiritual intervention can force her out of a victim.

Mabashi uses Ritz to possess Rukia Kuchiki, forcing her to attack her allies. Orihime removes the Doll with Sōten Kisshun, after which Hisagi cuts her back into her sealed form.

In Soul Society, Ritz spreads through numerous hosts and helps create chaos among the Gotei 13. After Suì-Fēng activates Nigeki Kessatsu on Mabashi, his control fails. Ritz and her copies attack their weakened master, and both Doll and Bount die together.

Mabashi is Ritz’s master and directs her possession attacks. Rukia Kuchiki is her most prominent host.

Orihime Inoue removes Ritz from Rukia, and Shūhei Hisagi destroys her manifested body. Suì-Fēng fatally weakens Mabashi and causes the final breakdown of his control.
