Ran Fuan

Ran Fuan is confident, playful, manipulative, and highly aware of how other people react to her appearance. She intentionally performs vulnerability when it benefits her in combat, only to counterattack once an opponent hesitates.

She treats the tournament as legitimate competition but has no objection to exploiting psychological weaknesses that have little to do with conventional martial arts.

Ran Fuan possesses enough martial ability to survive the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai preliminaries and reach the final eight competitors.

Her signature strategy is deception. She may cry out when an opponent prepares to strike, causing them to hesitate, then attack while their guard is lowered.

Against Namu, she escalates by removing her outer clothing to embarrass him and disrupt his concentration. Namu eventually solves the problem by closing his eyes and fighting without looking directly at her.

Ran Fuan competes in the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai alongside Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, and the other finalists.

Her quarterfinal opponent is Namu, whose reserved demeanor initially makes him vulnerable to her tactics. She repeatedly uses distraction to create attacking opportunities.

Namu ultimately regains his composure and defeats her, advancing to his semifinal match against Goku.

Ran Fuan's photograph later appears among the martial artists being considered as targets during Piccolo Daimaou's campaign, but the original manga does not establish that Tambourine actually reaches her.

Namu is Ran Fuan's principal opponent and defeats her during the quarterfinals of the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai.

Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, Jackie Chun, Giran, and Bacterian are fellow competitors in the same tournament bracket.
