Ragyou Kiryuuin

Ragyou is charismatic, domineering, cruel, and utterly convinced of her superiority. She treats people as resources to be used in pursuit of her objectives and has little concern for conventional morality or personal boundaries.

Her confidence comes from control on a global scale. REVOCS clothing is distributed throughout the world, giving Ragyou influence that extends far beyond the militarized environment of Honnouji Academy.

She is also deeply committed to the Life Fibers and regards their expansion as a higher evolutionary purpose. Human individuality has little value to her when it conflicts with that objective.

Ragyou possesses exceptional physical strength, speed, durability, and regenerative ability. Life Fibers integrated into her body allow her to survive severe injuries and recover from damage that would be fatal to an ordinary human.

She can manipulate Life Fibers directly and exert control over people wearing clothing connected to them. Her authority over REVOCS also gives her access to vast quantities of Life Fiber material and the company's manufacturing infrastructure.

Ragyou eventually wears Shinra-Kouketsu, an exceptionally powerful garment completed through Nui's work. It gives her control over Life Fibers on a massive scale and enables her to pursue the final stage of her plan for humanity.

Ragyou initially appears as the authority above Satsuki and the corporate power behind REVOCS. Her company controls an enormous share of the world's clothing market, while Honnouji's Goku Uniform experiments operate within the broader Life Fiber system connected to her organization.

Her arrival at Honnouji makes clear that even Satsuki's authoritarian school exists beneath a larger hierarchy. Ragyou takes a direct interest in the progress of Honnouji and the Life Fiber experiments surrounding it.

Satsuki has secretly built Honnouji Academy as an army intended to overthrow Ragyou. During the Cultural and Sports Grand Festival, Satsuki launches her rebellion and impales her mother, but Ragyou regenerates and defeats the uprising.

Ragyou is later revealed to be Ryuuko's biological mother. She experimented on Ryuuko with Life Fibers as an infant, while Souichirou Kiryuuin rescued the child and disappeared with her.

Ragyou's ultimate objective is to use REVOCS and the Primordial Life Fiber to cover humanity in Life Fibers, causing the fibers to consume their hosts and spread beyond Earth. Ryuuko and Senketsu ultimately prevent the plan during their confrontation in space.

Satsuki Kiryuuin is Ragyou's daughter and initially appears to administer Honnouji on her behalf. Satsuki secretly despises Ragyou and constructs Honnouji's military structure in preparation for rebellion against her.

Ryuuko Matoi is Ragyou's younger daughter, whom Ragyou subjected to Life Fiber experiments as an infant before Souichirou rescued her.

Nui Harime is Ragyou's Grand Couturier and most devoted operative. Nui is herself a human-Life Fiber hybrid created within the Primordial Life Fiber and remains completely loyal to Ragyou's plan.

Rei Hououmaru serves as Ragyou's secretary and trusted subordinate within REVOCS.

Isshin Matoi is actually Ragyou's estranged husband Souichirou Kiryuuin, who turned against her research, rescued Ryuuko, and dedicated his later life to opposing Life Fibers.

Senketsu is one of the weapons created through Isshin's research to oppose Ragyou and the Life Fibers.
