Quiem McMann

Quiem is intelligent, charismatic, paranoid, ruthless, and relentlessly ambitious. He is capable of organizing armies and nations around his objectives while treating enormous casualties as acceptable costs of expansion.

His worldview reduces human relationships to conflict. He believes fear is fundamental to interactions between people and regards struggle as an inevitable consequence of individuals existing alongside one another.

Quiem is also technically brilliant. His fascination with machinery is not superficial; he studies and constructs weapons closely enough to reproduce their mechanisms through his Choujin abilities.

As the War Choujin, Quiem can reproduce military technology through his body after sufficiently understanding its structure. Firearms, ammunition, vehicles and heavy weapons can become manifestations of his Choujin form.

His techniques include transforming fingers into powerful guns and producing enormous warhead-like arms. He can also assume forms resembling military vehicles and aircraft.

As a Choujin X, Quiem possesses power far beyond an ordinary Choujin and supplements his natural abilities through experimentation. He also develops Hyper Genesis: Human, creating artificial humans intended as potential vessels for his continued existence.

Quiem begins as a military figure in Guelta and eventually seizes political control, becoming the first Choujin to rule a country as its president.

His expansion into neighboring territories transforms regional warfare into the Great Choujin War. The deployment of Choujin on a national scale devastates existing political structures and permanently changes the history of the Seven Provinces.

His attack on Sora's group becomes particularly consequential. Killing Sora triggers her awakening as another Choujin X, creating the opponent who subsequently organizes Yamato Mori against him.

The war eventually brings Quiem into conflict with the Volunteer Allied Forces. Antitise ultimately assassinates him in 1927, contributing to Guelta's collapse even though the wider Choujin conflict continues.

Sora Siruha becomes one of Quiem's greatest opponents. Quiem's attack kills Sora as a human, but that death triggers her Choujin awakening and ultimately creates the leader who organizes a massive resistance against him.

Antitise leads forces opposing Guelta after the war reaches Antoland. Antitise eventually kills Quiem in 1927, ending the Choujin of War's direct rule.

Azuma Higashi possesses abilities that bear notable similarities to Quiem's weapon-oriented creation. The connection becomes increasingly significant as the story explores the inheritance and recurrence of Choujin powers across generations.
