Personality
Personality
Nottdagr is manipulative and patient in battle. Rather than immediately exposing what he can do, he pressures opponents psychologically and allows uncertainty to consume their stamina and concentration.
He is also an effective provocateur. His illusions work alongside verbal pressure, encouraging an opponent to react repeatedly to threats that may not exist.
This approach makes him particularly suited to fighting riders whose performance depends on confidence. Kazuma Mikura, who has struggled with self-doubt throughout his development, becomes Nottdagr's natural target during the Sleipnir match.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Nottdagr follows the Wing Road. His specialty is forming a lens from moving air and using it to manipulate light, producing convincing optical illusions.
Through this technique he can create grotesque creatures, false copies of himself and misleading images of the battlefield. The illusions do not need to inflict physical damage directly; forcing an opponent to evade nonexistent attacks consumes energy while hiding Nottdagr's actual movements.
His signature technique, Light's Skinfaxi, exploits these wind lenses to distort perception. The method shares a conceptual similarity with Flame Road optical tricks, something Kazu recognizes and later adapts using heat instead of wind.
Nottdagr's apparently high R.E.A.D. value is misleading. Lion Heart estimates his actual combat level at only around 95-100, with the larger figure reflecting how effectively his tricks make him appear more dangerous.
Story Role
Story Role
Nottdagr appears with Sleipnir during the Gram Scale Tournament and repeatedly targets Kazu with illusions before their individual confrontation fully develops. The pattern foreshadows a matchup based on perception rather than straightforward speed.
His battle demonstrates a weakness in treating R.E.A.D. values as absolute measurements. Sleipnir's reputation and Nottdagr's illusion techniques create an intimidating statistical picture, but Lion Heart recognizes that the apparent advantage does not tell the entire story.
Kazu eventually understands the mechanism behind Nottdagr's wind lens and reproduces the principle through the Flame Road, using heated air to generate an illusion of his own. The insight helps Kogarasumaru dismantle Sleipnir's psychological advantage.
Kazu and Agito ultimately combine their respective Roads into a Flaming Fang attack that defeats Nottdagr and Thor together.
