Niskawaji'j is curious, friendly, patient, and willing to interact with outsiders despite the uncertainty surrounding the Norse settlement.

She approaches Bug-Eyes as a person to learn from rather than simply as a foreigner to fear. Their mutual willingness to make mistakes and exchange words becomes one of the most successful examples of cross-cultural contact in Arnheid Village.
