Plmk

Plmk is friendly, curious, practical, and comparatively open to interaction with outsiders. His first response to the Norse settlement is not an attempt to drive the newcomers away but a willingness to approach, observe, and exchange knowledge.

He values things the settlers can offer without treating their presence as automatically beneficial. As tensions grow, Plmk becomes increasingly caught between relationships formed through peaceful contact and genuine fears within his community.

Plmk is familiar with the land, hunting, travel, and the practical knowledge of his Lnu community.

The manga does not establish him as an exceptional warrior or supernatural figure. His importance comes more from cultural knowledge and his willingness to communicate with the settlers.

Because early contact takes place without a shared language, Plmk also demonstrates adaptability through gestures, demonstrations, and repeated exchanges.

Plmk appears when the Norse settlers finally encounter the local population near Arnheid Village. His contact with Thorfinn's group begins one of the most important relationships in the Vinland portion of the story.
