Natsuhiko Taki

Taki is flamboyant, narcissistic and extraordinarily confident. He poses constantly, exposes his chest dramatically and performs extreme leg stretches as part of his self-presentation. He considers himself attractive and naturally suited to stardom.

He is also remarkably foolish about football when introduced. His ignorance is not malicious or lazy; he simply assumes that enthusiasm and athleticism make him an "all-around super player" without understanding that specialized positions and rules exist.

Beneath the posing, Taki works hard when given a real opportunity. His willingness to pursue his dream all the way to America demonstrates genuine commitment even if his original plan is poorly informed.

Taki has strong general athleticism. At 182 cm and 72 kg, he combines useful size with flexibility and a 90 kg bench press. His 5.01-second 40-yard dash is adequate for the multiple roles he fills.

As a tight end, he can contribute to both receiving and blocking. His height gives him a useful receiving target, while his strength allows him to participate in line play.

He can also play safety and outside linebacker, reflecting the broad athletic versatility behind his exaggerated claim of being an all-around player.

Taki travels to the United States using his family's savings because he believes he can earn a place with a professional team. Sena encounters him around San Antonio while Deimon is completing its American training.

His attempt fails because he lacks even the fundamental knowledge expected of a serious applicant. Sena nevertheless recognizes useful athletic potential and helps him learn enough football to pursue the sport properly.

Taki returns to Japan and joins the Deimon Devil Bats, filling the tight-end position and adding another genuine player to the team's previously thin roster. He remains part of Deimon through its later tournament campaign.

Suzuna Taki is Natsuhiko's younger sister. She searches for Natsuhiko Taki after his impulsive trip to America and frequently reacts to his bizarre behavior with considerably more common sense.

Sena Kobayakawa meets Natsuhiko in America and helps redirect his enthusiasm toward actually learning the sport he claims he wants to master.

Youichi Hiruma ultimately accepts Natsuhiko as part of Deimon's roster once his athletic usefulness becomes clear.

Ryokan Kurita plays alongside Natsuhiko in Deimon's blocking unit, giving the inexperienced tight end a far more accomplished interior lineman to work beside.
