Nakata Korori

Korori is eccentric but perceptive. His pronounced fascination with women's stockings is one of his most distinctive personal quirks, but it coexists with genuine professional ability and an eye for other artists' talent.

Despite Hideo's jealousy, Korori recognizes Hideo's ability as a manga creator. Their career trajectories are different, but Korori does not simply regard his former colleague as talentless because his own debut came first.

The outbreak reveals a practical side to him as well. Leading a supply unit requires him to make decisions for other people's survival rather than concentrating solely on his own safety.

Korori is an established professional manga artist. He successfully moves from assistant work to his own debut after leaving Matsuo's studio, demonstrating the artistic and professional competence necessary to survive commercial publication.

After the outbreak, his principal skills become leadership, scavenging and survival planning. He commands a team that leaves the safety of its high-rise base to obtain food and other resources.

Korori is not defined by superhuman abilities. His value comes from organizing capable people—including the exceptionally skilled Korori-tai no Onna Heishi—and navigating the dangers of supply expeditions through infected Tokyo.

Korori initially exists in Hideo's professional and personal background. He represents a former peer who successfully crossed the line from assistant to published manga artist, while his past relationship with Tekko makes Hideo's feelings toward him even more complicated.

The story later reveals that Korori survived the outbreak. He is living in a large high-rise community in Toshima, Tokyo, where he serves as captain of a supply unit and regularly ventures outside the refuge.

Korori's unit becomes increasingly important as tensions grow inside the survivor community and the ZQN outside continue evolving. His responsibilities place him at the center of conflicts over supplies, leadership and the future of the people sheltering in the tower.

Hideo Suzuki formerly worked alongside Korori under Matsuo. Although Hideo Suzuki envies Korori's successful debut, Korori recognizes Hideo's talent as a manga artist.

Tetsuko Kurokawa is Korori's former girlfriend. Hideo Suzuki's awareness of Tetsuko Kurokawa's past with Korori contributes heavily to his insecurity.

Matsuo employed Korori as an assistant before Korori left to begin his own professional career.

Korori-tai no Onna Heishi is the strongest fighter in Korori's supply unit and accompanies his group into dangerous parts of Tokyo.
