Nae Tennouji

Nae is gentle, reserved and deeply attached to her father. She is polite around the laboratory members but is wary of Okabe, whose dramatic behavior makes him particularly frightening from a child's perspective.

She is fond of Mayuri and enjoys spending time around the Braun Tube Workshop when the atmosphere is calm. Her curiosity is stronger than her timid demeanor initially suggests.

Later Science Adventure appearances show Nae as considerably more confident and technically capable as an adult, while retaining the connections formed during her childhood in Akihabara.

Nae is an ordinary elementary-school student during Steins;Gate and has no supernatural abilities or combat training.

Her adult appearance in Robotics;Notes establishes that she later becomes an employee of JAXA, showing considerable athletic ability and professional competence. Those later accomplishments belong to a different stage of her life rather than her role in the original 2010 story.

One visual-novel Alpha world line gives Nae a radically darker role after her father's death: she eventually uses time-leap technology repeatedly to return to 2010 and take revenge. This sequence is not reproduced in the same form by the television anime.

Nae appears around the Braun Tube Workshop and Future Gadget Laboratory as part of the everyday Akihabara setting. Her relationship with her father gives the otherwise intimidating landlord a visibly softer side.

She also befriends Suzuha while Suzuha works at the shop. Her largely ordinary childhood presence contrasts with the dangerous secrets surrounding the adults in the same building.

The original visual novel includes an Alpha-world-line outcome in which Yuugo's death devastates Nae. Years later, she uses repeated time leaps to return to 2010 and exact revenge on Moeka and Okabe. The anime removes this future-Nae sequence.

Yuugo Tennouji is Nae's father. She adores him and frequently spends time at his Braun Tube Workshop.

Mayuri Shiina is an older-sister figure to Nae and one of the laboratory members around whom she feels comfortable.

Rintarou Okabe frightens Nae with his Hououin Kyouma persona and strange nicknames.

Suzuha Amane becomes Nae's friend while working at the Braun Tube Workshop.

Moeka Kiryuu becomes the target of Nae's revenge in the visual novel's future Alpha-world-line sequence.
