Momon

Momon is loyal, friendly, talkative, and far more socially open than Eclair. He frequently apologizes for her brusque behavior and encourages her to treat people more kindly.

His devotion to Eclair is absolute. He willingly confronts animals and armed enemies much larger than himself and has little hesitation about putting his own body between her and danger.

Momon also possesses a playful sense of humor and a tendency to lighten Eclair's otherwise somber journey.

Momon's most unusual characteristic is his animation through the Phoenix Stone. Eclair originally constructs him as an ordinary stuffed toy, but the stone's power gives him consciousness, speech, independent movement, and flight.

His small wings allow him to fly freely despite the proportions of his stuffed body.

Momon possesses no conventional Magic or major offensive technique. His usefulness instead comes from mobility, courage, observation, and his willingness to intervene physically even against opponents far stronger than himself.

Eclair creates Momon while living in a cave and working as a fortune teller. During the night, the Phoenix Stone glows and transfers enough of its power to animate the stuffed toy.

Momon becomes Eclair's constant companion as she travels while carrying one half of the Phoenix Stone. When the two encounter Lucy Heartfilia, Natsu Dragneel, Happy, and their companions, Momon is considerably more willing than Eclair to accept Fairy Tail's assistance.

He accompanies Eclair to the Boundary Forest and remains beside her as the group uncovers Kalard's message explaining the importance of the Phoenix Stone.

When Carbuncle targets Eclair, Momon works with Fairy Tail in trying to recover her.

During the ritual intended to awaken the Phoenix, Momon flies through the flames surrounding Eclair and breaks her restraints, sacrificing himself to free her.

After the Phoenix Stone is destroyed, Eclair's spirit reunites with Momon's, and the two ascend together.

Eclair creates Momon and becomes the center of his life. He serves as her companion, protector, and emotional support.

Lucy Heartfilia befriends both Momon and Eclair after finding Eclair collapsed in Magnolia.

Happy travels alongside Momon during Fairy Tail's involvement in the Phoenix Stone crisis.

Natsu Dragneel becomes one of the Fairy Tail mages helping protect Eclair from Carbuncle.

Kalard is Eclair's father, whose recorded message helps clarify the mission Momon has been helping her complete.
