Eclair

Eclair is guarded, blunt, stubborn, and deeply suspicious of magic. Her damaged memories leave her clinging tightly to the few certainties she still possesses, particularly the conviction that the Phoenix Stone must be protected and delivered.

She initially rejects Fairy Tail's attempts to help her because mages represent something she instinctively distrusts. Lucy gradually wins her confidence by showing empathy rather than demanding explanations Eclair cannot provide.

Eclair is compassionate beneath the defensive exterior. Her work as a fortune teller and her close bond with Momon show an ability to connect with others even while she tries to avoid becoming dependent on them.

Eclair is not presented as a conventional combat mage. Her supernatural abilities are tied primarily to her connection with the Phoenix and the experiences surrounding the Phoenix Stone.

She demonstrates fortune-telling ability during her wandering life and can perceive information beyond ordinary sight.

Carbuncle subsequently attacks the guild and captures Eclair so that her stone can be reunited with its counterpart in Veronica.

Eclair eventually regains her lost memories and reveals that she has lived for roughly four centuries because she consumed Phoenix blood after the catastrophe that destroyed her village.

When the Phoenix is awakened, destroying the Phoenix Stone becomes the only way to stop it. Because Eclair's immortal life is sustained by the same power, she accepts that breaking the stone will also end her life. Erza fires the Sacred Arrow into the Phoenix Stone, Natsu drives it through, and Eclair disappears along with the Phoenix before reuniting spiritually with Momon.

Momon is Eclair's closest companion. She sews him as an ordinary stuffed toy before the Phoenix Stone brings him to life.

Lucy Heartfilia becomes Eclair's closest Fairy Tail friend and earns her trust despite Eclair's initial hatred of magic.

Kalard is Eclair's father and spends years researching a way to dispel the Phoenix Stone's magic.

Natsu Dragneel fights to rescue Eclair after Carbuncle abducts her.

Erza Scarlet ultimately uses the Sacred Arrow against the Phoenix Stone when stopping the awakened Phoenix becomes unavoidable.
