Mizoguchi

Mizoguchi is firm, professional and practical. He gives precise instructions to his employees and expects those instructions to be followed even when the work is unpleasant. Kafka's complaints about being assigned to the interior of a kaiju carcass do little to change his mind.

His strictness is accompanied by genuine recognition of his workers' value. Mizoguchi notices Kafka's efficiency and determination and understands that those qualities could have served him well in the Defense Force.

Mizoguchi has no established supernatural abilities or Defense Force combat powers. His expertise is managerial and technical, built around professional kaiju disposal.

He organizes workers across different sections of enormous kaiju carcasses and oversees operations involving hazardous biological remains. His role therefore requires knowledge of cleanup procedures, personnel management and the practical realities of post-neutralization work.

Mizoguchi supervises the disposal of Philinosoma after its neutralization by the Third Division. He assigns Kafka to the creature's intestines and later places the newly hired Reno Ichikawa alongside him.

Kafka's work ethic leads Mizoguchi to acknowledge that he might have made a capable Defense Force officer, although Mizoguchi is also pleased to have such an effective employee working for Monster Sweeper.

Several months later, Mizoguchi delivers the Defense Force correspondence sent to Kafka and Reno, helping move both men from their cleanup jobs toward the next stage of their careers.

Kafka Hibino is one of Mizoguchi's experienced employees at the beginning of the story. Mizoguchi recognizes Kafka's talent as a cleanup worker and sees qualities in him that would also suit Defense Force service.

Reno Ichikawa joins Monster Sweeper under Mizoguchi's supervision as a part-time employee.

Masahide Tokuda, Hiroto Mori, Ichitaka Miike, Yoshimura and Kingusa work as members of Mizoguchi's Monster Sweeper crew.
