Midori Tono

Midoriko is shy, concerned about her friends, and somewhat intimidated by Karin’s forceful personality. She approaches Yuzu Kurosaki to ask how Karin is feeling but quickly acknowledges that Karin’s bad mood makes the answer obvious.

She usually complies when Karin orders her to leave or disregard something unusual. This reflects nervousness rather than hostility; her first concern is still Karin’s well-being.

Midoriko possesses no demonstrated supernatural abilities. She is an ordinary human child and is not shown perceiving Souls or Hollows.

She does witness Kon, while he occupies Ichigo’s body, jumping onto the school wall with superhuman ease. Karin immediately pressures her into denying what she saw.

Midoriko finds Yuzu outside a school bathroom while Karin Kurosaki is hiding inside and shouting. Karin has been feeling unwell since sensing the spirit attached to Chad’s parakeet.

When Karin leaves the stall and decides to go home early, she orders Yuzu to collect her belongings and tells Midoriko to leave. Midoriko departs while wondering why Karin is unusually irritable.

She appears again when Kon’s enhanced artificial body carries him onto a wall. Karin threatens her into treating the impossible jump as something she imagined. Midoriko has no later established role.

Karin Kurosaki is Midoriko’s friend, although her blunt behavior intimidates Midoriko.

Yuzu Kurosaki is another friend and classmate. Midoriko approaches her when concerned about Karin.

Kon startles Midoriko while inhabiting Ichigo Kurosaki’s body, though neither forms a personal relationship with her.
