Merlin

Merlin is quiet and difficult to read, with the manga providing comparatively little insight into her personal motivations. Her masked appearance reinforces the distance between her and the more extensively developed riders involved in the conflict.

She nevertheless appears composed in dangerous situations and remains associated with Genesis's senior combat personnel rather than its ordinary Storm Riders.

Merlin is an A-Rank Air Treck rider. Her exact Road is never conclusively identified, but her demonstrated techniques resemble offensive applications of the Ring Road.

During a confrontation with Kanon, Merlin produces cutting sound waves using her long fingernails, mirroring the Ring Road's ability to manipulate rhythm and sound as an offensive force. Kanon himself employs comparable sound-based attacks, making their encounter one of the clearest indications of Merlin's likely specialization.

Merlin is also identified among the Gravity Children associated with Genesis, placing her abilities within the larger group of artificially enhanced riders created through the project's research.

Merlin first appears in Chapter 227 among the high-level riders aligned with Genesis, including Nike, Morrigan, Gawain and Percival.

She later confronts Kanon and other intruders aboard Genesis's aircraft carrier. Her use of sound-based attacks against him provides the clearest demonstration of her fighting ability.

After Morrigan's defeat by Benkei, Morrigan asks Merlin to kill her for having lost; Merlin is subsequently seen during the continuing events aboard the carrier and watches the escape craft carrying Minami and Rika depart.

Sora Takeuchi is one of the leaders whose objectives Merlin supports as part of Genesis.

Nike is another senior Genesis figure with whom Merlin appears.

Morrigan is a fellow Genesis rider who appears alongside Merlin. After losing to Benkei, Morrigan asks Merlin to kill her.

Kanon becomes Merlin's direct opponent aboard the aircraft carrier, and their respective sound-based attacks reveal similarities between their fighting methods.

Gawain and Percival appear alongside Merlin among Genesis's high-level riders.
