Menma

Menma is presented as a far darker and more ruthless figure than Naruto. He operates independently, attacks opponents without hesitation, and possesses the confidence of a shinobi fully aware of his extraordinary power. His calm demeanor and willingness to manipulate others make him a dangerous opponent rather than merely a physical counterpart to Naruto.

His relationship with his alternate world's circumstances is central to his characterization. The Menma encountered as the masked enemy has also been influenced and controlled by Tobi, complicating how much of his hostile behavior reflects his ordinary personality.

Menma is an exceptionally powerful shinobi classified as S-rank. He possesses strong sensory abilities, including the capacity to detect negative emotions through his connection with the Black Nine-Tails. His chakra reserves and destructive power are correspondingly enormous.

He can create dark chakra spheres and employ a technique visually comparable to Naruto's Rasengan, producing an attack powerful enough to cause massive destruction. Menma also demonstrates the ability to summon and command nine masked beasts, giving him several powerful entities that can fight independently on his behalf.

As jinchūriki of the Black Nine-Tails, Menma can access the beast's chakra and eventually manifest its tremendous power directly. His abilities make him one of the few opponents capable of confronting Naruto while matching the fundamental advantage provided by a Nine-Tails jinchūriki.

Menma is central to Road to Ninja after Naruto and Sakura Haruno find themselves transported into an alternate reality created through Tobi's Limited Tsukuyomi. In this world, Minato and Kushina are alive and Menma occupies the position their son would normally hold.

A mysterious masked shinobi is simultaneously terrorizing the alternate world and pursuing the Red Moon Scroll. Naruto gradually becomes involved in the conflict while struggling with the temptation of living in a world where his parents are still present.

The masked enemy is revealed to be the alternate world's Menma, who has fallen under Tobi's influence. Menma battles Naruto using the Black Nine-Tails, while Naruto calls upon Kurama. Naruto ultimately defeats him, and Tobi's control over Menma is broken.

Minato Namikaze is Menma's father in the alternate world. Unlike Naruto's original reality, Menma grows up in a world where both of his parents remain present.

Kushina Uzumaki is Menma's mother. Her relationship with her son parallels the family life Naruto longs to experience, making Menma's place within the alternate world especially significant.

Naruto Uzumaki is Menma's counterpart from the original world. The two share parentage, appearance, and jinchūriki status but develop under radically different circumstances.

Sakura Haruno enters Menma's world alongside Naruto and becomes involved in the conflict surrounding him.

Tobi manipulates events within the alternate world through the Limited Tsukuyomi. He exerts control over Menma and uses him against Naruto during the film's central conflict.
