Mejiro

Mejiro is characterized chiefly through his role as a martial artist aligned with Sango. The manga provides comparatively little independent personal history for him.

His willingness to operate alongside Sango places him on the enforcement side of the mall's social hierarchy. Physical ability has considerable value in a refuge where access to safety can be controlled by a small group.

Mejiro is an experienced martial-arts fighter capable of handling himself in close combat.

The manga does not clearly establish a named school or discipline for him, so assigning a specific martial art would go beyond the available canon.

He has no established anomalous ZQN abilities. His combat effectiveness remains within the limits of a trained human fighter.

Mejiro appears among the survivors occupying the Gotemba mall and is associated particularly with Sango.

His presence gives Sango access to physical force beyond his own abilities, complementing the more strategic influence exercised by Iura.

When the mall's defenses fail under the pressure of the ZQN, the authority created by its human hierarchy becomes increasingly irrelevant compared with the immediate need to escape.

Sango is Mejiro's principal associate. Mejiro teams with Sango and provides martial strength to his side of the mall community.

Iura is another leading figure within the same refuge, exercising much of the practical authority behind Sango's nominal leadership.
