Majari

Majari is devoted to Yakumo's campaign and treats the conflict with Spirit World as a military operation. He shows no sympathy toward those standing between the Netherworld forces and their objective.

The film gives him comparatively little independent characterization outside his function as one of Yakumo's supernatural warriors.

As a Netherworld deity, Majari possesses supernatural strength and energy considerably beyond that of ordinary humans. He is one of the specialized combatants deployed by Yakumo against Yusuke's group.

His abilities are tied to the supernatural power of the Netherworld, whose inhabitants differ from the ordinary demons encountered throughout the television series.

Majari appears during the Netherworld invasion depicted in Poltergeist Report. Yakumo's followers search for the means to restore their lost realm and challenge the defenders of Spirit World and the Human World.

He serves as one of the combatants placed against Yusuke's allies as the heroes separate to confront Yakumo's forces.

Because the film is an original theatrical storyline, Majari's actions do not affect the continuity of the manga's later Chapter Black or Three Kings sagas.

Yakumo is Majari's ruler and the leader of the Netherworld forces.

Raigo is another powerful member of Yakumo's forces involved in the same invasion.

Yusuke Urameshi, Kazuma Kuwabara, Kurama and Hiei oppose the Netherworld forces during the film.
