Luca Asakura

Luca is proud of her branch-family heritage and initially shares the belief that its bloodline is superior to that of the main Asakura house. Her strongest personal motivation, however, is her attachment to Yohane. She was taught from childhood that caring for her younger brother was her responsibility, and she takes that duty extremely seriously.

She comforts Yohane when he fails and reacts aggressively toward anyone who hurts him. This protective instinct can become vindictive, particularly when combined with the ideology their father imposed on both children during their isolated upbringing.

Luca's Guardian Ghosts are Shinden and Raiden, two komainu spirits belonging to the Kyoto branch of the Asakura family. She channels them through a star-tipped wand, producing an Over Soul capable of taking multiple configurations.

Her Over Soul can operate as a large mobile construct and possesses techniques capable of restraining or neutralizing other spiritual forces.

Luca's abilities are initially amplified by YVS Meidum, a fragment of Fra YVS's power obtained through her father. It greatly increases her Furyoku and gives her Over Soul the ability to dissolve other Over Souls. The power's true nature is initially concealed.

Luca and Yohane grow up isolated in the mountains of Kyoto under Asakura Yohkyo. Their father trains them to fulfill the branch family's ambition of replacing the main Asakura line, eventually sending their attention toward Hana.

Luca accompanies Yohane to Funbari Hill and watches his initial confrontation with Hana. After Yohane is defeated, she vows revenge and later attacks Hana herself, coordinating with her brother in an attempt to overwhelm him. Alumi Numbirch intervenes and forces the siblings to retreat.

Luca later manipulates Ryuji Ichihara into attacking Hana after enrolling at his school. During the confrontation she petrifies both Amidamaru and Oboro Daikyoh and uses Ryuji as a physical attacker. Hana's oni eventually destroy her piece of YVS's power, freeing her from its influence.

Yohane Asakura is Luca's younger brother and the person she is most fiercely protective of. Her upbringing taught her that caring for him was one of her principal duties.

Asakura Yohkyo is Luca's father, who raises her and Yohane in isolation and trains them to oppose the main Asakura family.

Hana Asakura is initially the principal target of Luca and Yohane's campaign against the main family.

Shinden and Raiden are Luca's komainu Guardian Ghosts.

Ryuji Ichihara becomes infatuated with Luca after she transfers into his class, and she exploits his feelings to persuade him to attack Hana.

Alumi Numbirch intervenes when Luca and Yohane attempt to overwhelm Hana and destroys their combined Over Soul.
