Personality
Personality
Loki is composed, calculating and willing to manipulate an opponent's assumptions. As Sleipnir's strongest member, he approaches battle as a tactical contest rather than relying solely on his superior R.E.A.D. value.
He is also deeply introspective. Questions about why he exists and what he genuinely wants become increasingly important beneath the team's seemingly artificial commitment to winning.
His relationship with his teammates ultimately matters more than the detached persona suggests. Loki's decisions during the Sleipnir battle reveal that preserving another member can take priority over victory.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Loki follows the Wing Road and is one of Sleipnir's Wind Kings. His R.E.A.D. battle level is measured at 205, placing him above the other members of his team by that metric.
His sword can absorb wind-based attacks and convert their energy into his own techniques. Sleipnir: Cyclone Destiny divides captured wind into two tornadoes before Loki adds his own kick to create powerful opposing vortices.
He can perform Pile Tornado and develops a variation that compresses wind into a tapering cloud capable of pinning opponents against a surface. His weapon can also transform into wing-like structures, enabling genuine aerial movement during battle.
Muspellzheimr's Shining Wind uses the transformed weapon for extremely fast diving attacks from multiple directions.
Loki is a Brain Charger, giving him the heightened processing and physical performance associated with the project's enhanced humans. His identity as one helps explain both Sleipnir's unusual abilities and his preoccupation with the purpose of his own existence.
Story Role
Story Role
Loki appears with Sleipnir as Kogarasumaru enters the Gram Scale Tournament. The defending champions consist of multiple Wind Kings whose specialized applications of the Wing Road force Kogarasumaru to fight across moving aircraft.
He directly confronts Ikki and Issa Mihotoke, demonstrating that he can absorb Pile Tornado and turn its wind back against them. He also manipulates the aerial battlefield, including deceiving Ikki into attacking the wrong target.
As the battle continues, Ikki's ability to create a null-wind environment begins neutralizing Loki's strongest wind techniques. Loki's sword is eventually shattered, forcing their contest into a direct race across the falling aircraft debris.
When Freya is knocked unconscious and falls toward the water, Loki abandons his opportunity to continue the match and saves her instead. He forfeits, and Sleipnir's members begin recognizing that their own desire is simply to experience the sky rather than live according to the purpose imposed on them.
Relationships
Relationships
Freya is Loki's Sleipnir teammate and partner during the later stage of his battle with Ikki. Loki ultimately abandons the match to save her when she falls unconscious, choosing her life over Sleipnir's victory.
Itsuki Minami is Loki's principal opponent. Their battle pits two highly advanced Wing Road users against one another, while Ikki's evolving understanding of null wind undermines Loki's specialized techniques.
Issa Mihotoke joins Ikki against Loki and forces him to contend with Buccha's unusual strength and adaptability.
Onigiri indirectly decides the final stage of Loki's match by incapacitating Freya, forcing Loki to choose between continuing against Ikki and rescuing his teammate.
Thor, Nottdagr and Freya are Loki's fellow Sleipnir riders, sharing the team's unusual collection of Wind Road specialists.
