Leraje

Leraje is vain, irreverent and selective about the people she finds attractive. When Kouha reaches her Dungeon, she openly admits that she might otherwise have chosen Kouen Ren, but dismisses him as a "cheater" because he already possesses three Djinn. Her attitude toward unfaithful men is connected to her earlier relationship with Focalor.

Her standards for a King Vessel are more serious than this first impression suggests. Leraje does not want a world dominated by one absolute king surrounded by weak subordinates. She prefers a ruler whose retainers possess their own strength and can participate in shaping the world beside him.

She recognizes this quality in Kouha by observing his followers. People discarded as failures and outcasts look at him as their king because he accepted them when others would not.

Leraje controls Strength Magic, the seventh type of magic. Through Nyoi Rentou, Kouha can manipulate force on a tremendous scale. The sword can alter its length and effective mass, allowing him to produce devastating blows at precisely chosen moments.

Djinn Weapon Equip transforms Nyoi Rentou into a weapon combining scythe- and hammer-like properties. The scythe portion can produce powerful slashing attacks over distance, while the hammer side concentrates enormous pressure into a target area.

Full Djinn Equip further amplifies Leraje's power. Kouha's Extreme Magic, Lelazzo Madraga, creates the Djinn's symbol over a wide area before an enormous downward strike pulverizes the target zone and drives it into a deep crater.

Leraje is first shown in a flashback to Kouha's conquest of the 14th Dungeon. Although Kouen appears to be an obvious candidate because of his strength, she rejects him for already possessing three Djinn. Instead, she studies the people following Kouha and concludes that their extraordinary faith in him makes the younger prince worthy of becoming her King Vessel.

At Magnostadt, Aladdin summons Leraje alongside Amon, Agares, Astaroth and Phenex. The Djinn warn their King Vessels that the Medium threatens the entire world.

Leraje's references to Alma Torran foreshadow the later revelation that the Djinn originated there. The subsequent Alma Torran history establishes that she belonged to Solomon's Household before the creation of the Djinn system.

Kouha Ren is Leraje's Dungeon Capturer and King Vessel. She chooses him because of the loyalty visible among his followers and the way he gives social outcasts a place beneath him.

Kouen Ren accompanies Kouha during Leraje's Dungeon conquest. Leraje finds him attractive but refuses to choose him because he already possesses three Djinn.

Focalor was romantically involved with Leraje in Alma Torran. His womanizing causes her to develop a strong dislike of men she considers unfaithful.

Aladdin summons Leraje during the Magnostadt crisis. As a Magi, he can call forth the Djinn directly and asks them to explain the danger confronting the world.

Amon, Agares, Astaroth and Phenex appear alongside Leraje when Aladdin summons the gathered Dungeon Capturers' Djinn.
