Kyou Hanaki

Hanaki is reckless, thrill-seeking and heavily desensitized to Gantz's violence. His heroin use during a mission reinforces the extent to which alien hunting has become part of an extreme lifestyle rather than simply a struggle for survival.

Unlike several Osaka players who hang back and watch others fight, Hanaki actively seeks targets and attacks at high speed.

His confidence is supported by previous success: reaching 100 points twice means he has survived numerous encounters and has reason to trust his ability.

Hanaki is a skilled Gantz Bike operator, using the vehicle offensively rather than simply for transportation. He approaches targets at speed, leaps from the machine and attacks before they can respond effectively.

He is proficient with Gantz firearms and has access to the H-Gun associated with 100-point rewards, although he also uses X-Shotguns.

Hanaki's combination of mobility and ranged fire makes him dangerous against ordinary mission targets, but the Osaka hunt eventually produces enemies far beyond those he has previously overcome.

Hanaki appears among the Osaka hunters during the Nurarihyon mission and distinguishes himself through his drug use and aggressive riding.

He participates in the battle after the mission's three principal bosses—Nurarihyon, Tengu and Inugami—enter the fighting.

Hanaki attempts to attack the 100-point Nurarihyon from range, but the creature's extraordinary abilities overwhelm his strategy. He is killed while attempting to engage the mission's strongest target.

Tsuneo Nikaido fights in the same portion of the Osaka battlefield as Hanaki when the mission's major bosses appear.

Nurarihyon becomes the target of Hanaki's attempted long-range attack and proves far beyond the level of enemies he had survived in previous games.

Inugami and Tengu appear alongside Nurarihyon as the three principal bosses confronting the Osaka hunters.
