Kanon

Kanon presents himself as gentle, courteous and perpetually cheerful, even while provoking Ikki. His calm expression makes his more manipulative behavior easy to underestimate.

His obsession with Ringo dominates many of his decisions. Kanon sees tuning her as both a technical responsibility and proof of personal intimacy, and he unilaterally casts Ikki as his romantic rival.

He is also willing to disregard Tool Toul To's principle of neutrality when his personal objectives conflict with it. That willingness distinguishes him from tuners who treat the organization's rules as absolute.

Kanon is a Link Tuner trained by Tool Toul To and specializes in maintaining Ringo's Air Trecks. Tuning requires precise knowledge of a rider's physical dimensions, rhythms and mechanical requirements, giving him detailed familiarity with the Thorn Queen's performance.

He carries a large guitar case that conceals mechanical equipment. The case is eventually revealed as a combat system rather than an ordinary tuner kit, allowing Kanon to attack directly when his objectives diverge from those of the rider he is supposed to support.

Although he can participate physically in conflicts, Kanon's primary expertise remains tuning rather than mastery of a conventional offensive Road.

Kanon enters as Ringo's tuner during the period when her relationship with Ikki is becoming increasingly strained by Sleeping Forest and the Wind Regalia. His obvious interest in her adds another personal source of friction.

He also provides a view of Tool Toul To members who do not follow the organization's neutrality as faithfully as Ine or Kururu. Kanon is prepared to interfere directly with Kogarasumaru when he believes doing so serves his own goals.

Kanon plots to tamper with Ikki's Air Trecks and later acts directly against Kogarasumaru. His conduct increasingly separates him from the neutral ideal expected of a Link Tuner.

During the later conflict, he turns his concealed equipment against Ringo after appearing to support her, revealing that his loyalty to her is far less straightforward than his romantic fixation initially suggests.

Ringo Noyamano is Kanon's designated rider and romantic obsession. He considers his detailed knowledge of her as her tuner evidence that he understands her better than anyone else. He later attacks her despite having presented himself as her devoted supporter.

Itsuki Minami is Kanon's self-declared romantic rival for Ringo. Kanon openly resents the closeness between them.

Kururu Sumeragi is Kanon's cousin and fellow Tool Toul To tuner.

Ine Makigami represents the neutrality and tuner discipline of Tool Toul To that Kanon is increasingly willing to disregard.
