Jibachi is arrogant, mocking, aggressive, and deeply resentful of Konoha's Aburame clan.
He enjoys provoking enemies and repeatedly belittles the Konoha genin during the struggle over the bikouchuu.
His loyalty to the Kamizuru clan is genuine. Jibachi's hostility is connected to the humiliation his family suffered after its defeat, and he sees recovering the First Tsuchikage's hidden techniques as a means of reversing that decline.

They discover that Team 8 and Naruto are searching for the same insect and wait for the Konoha group to locate it first.
The Kamizuru siblings capture Hinata Hyuuga and attempt to exchange her for the bikouchuu.
They encase her in wax and leave her suspended near a waterfall as leverage.
Hinata escapes and rejoins her teammates.
Her newly developed defensive technique turns the Kamizuru attack back against them, defeating the siblings and preventing them from obtaining the bikouchuu.
