Ino

Ino is mischievous, disobedient, and more interested in games than schoolwork. He complains about physical education and joins his friends in hiding from class to play.

He repeats the other pupils’ negative view of Karin, whose blunt manner and reputation intimidate them. His bravado disappears when confronted by genuine danger, and he reacts as an ordinary frightened child rather than displaying unusual courage or spiritual awareness.

Ino has no supernatural abilities and cannot clearly perceive Hollows. He sees the damage they cause but does not understand the spiritual conflict taking place around him.

His only displayed skills concern video games. Even there, he casually deletes a failed character and starts again after losing, reflecting the boys’ dismissive attitude toward their digital creations.

Ino, Hashigami, and Kaneda hide in the schoolyard to play video games during physical education. Kon, occupying Ichigo’s body, damages their console during his uncontrolled exploration of his enhanced artificial body.

The boys’ teacher refuses to believe their account and orders them to clean the grounds. A Hollow then attacks while they are carrying out the punishment.

Kon returns after sensing the Hollow and places himself between it and the children. Although he is wounded, his intervention gives Ino and his friends time to escape and helps him understand that protecting vulnerable lives matters.

Hashigami and Kaneda are Ino’s friends and gaming companions. The three regularly avoid physical-education class together.

Karin Kurosaki is his classmate, though Ino dislikes and fears her because of her reputation. Yuzu Kurosaki attends the same school.

Kon initially frightens Ino while using Ichigo’s body, but later protects him and his friends from a Hollow.
