Igaram

Igaram is dutiful, cautious, and intensely protective of Vivi. He treats her safety as both a personal responsibility and a matter of national survival. When their identities are exposed, his first concern is arranging her escape rather than preserving his own cover.

His formal bearing is offset by eccentric habits. He uses exaggerated disguises, adopts the name Igarappoi when presenting himself as Whisky Peak’s mayor, and clears his throat with extended vocal exercises. These mannerisms do not diminish his courage or competence.

Igaram readily accepts personal danger in service to the royal family. He is willing to travel as a decoy, face Baroque Works alone, and entrust Vivi to newly encountered pirates when they offer her the best chance of reaching home.

Igaram conceals firearms inside the curled sections of his hair. By pulling his necktie, he can discharge several guns at once, creating a broad volley without visibly drawing a conventional weapon.

He also carries a saxophone fitted with a shotgun mechanism. The instrument can fire while he appears to play it, preserving the theatrical presentation of his undercover identity while giving him substantial ranged firepower.

Beyond these weapons, Igaram has the training expected of the captain of a royal guard. He is a capable organizer and infiltrator, having risen to a significant Frontier Agent position without revealing his true allegiance. He has no known Devil Fruit ability.

Igaram and Nefertari Vivi infiltrate Baroque Works after discovering that the organization is provoking unrest in Arabasta. As Mr. 8, Igaram manages Whisky Peak’s bounty hunters and helps lure pirate crews into vulnerable positions.

After Roronoa Zoro defeats the town’s agents, Igaram reveals Vivi’s identity and asks the Straw Hats to escort her home. He learns that Baroque Works is controlled by Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, making the mission considerably more dangerous.

Igaram disguises himself as Vivi and sails away as a decoy, only for his ship to explode after an encounter with Nico Robin, then known as Miss All Sunday. He survives the explosion and later returns to Arabasta, resuming his duties during the rebellion and continuing to serve the royal family afterward.

Nefertari Vivi is Igaram’s princess, fellow infiltrator, and primary responsibility. Igaram trusts Nefertari Vivi’s resolve but repeatedly risks himself to keep her alive.

Nefertari Cobra is Igaram’s king and the sovereign he serves. Chaka and Pell are senior royal guards under Igaram’s command and share his devotion to the Nefertari family.

Miss Monday is Igaram’s assigned Baroque Works partner. Although she does not initially know his true identity, Miss Monday ultimately helps resist the agents sent to kill Vivi.

Crocodile is the architect of the conspiracy Igaram infiltrates. Nico Robin exposes the infiltration and apparently destroys his decoy ship, though she does not prevent Vivi’s journey from continuing.

Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, and Nami become crucial allies after Igaram asks the Straw Hats to escort Vivi to Arabasta.
