Hako Isawa

Hako is insecure, competitive and desperate for individual recognition. Tool Toul To's culture emphasizes precise compatibility between rider and tuner, but Hako interprets Kururu's superior affinity with Ikki as evidence of her own inferiority.

Her jealousy pushes her toward increasingly reckless behavior. She wants to become Ikki's tuner not solely because she cares about his performance but because being selected by a potential King would prove that she is exceptional.

Hako's later development forces her to confront that insecurity directly. Being valued for her own compatibility rather than as a substitute for Kururu helps her eventually accept herself and reconnect with Tool Toul To.

Hako is an A-T Link Tuner with the technical training expected of Tool Toul To. She can construct, repair and modify advanced Air Treck components and participates in work involving Regalia-class equipment.

Her tuning ability is genuine, but compatibility matters enormously in Tool Toul To's discipline. Kururu's natural match with Ikki makes Hako's attempts to replace her ineffective even when Hako's mechanical work itself is competent.

Hako creates replacement Bagram Cores and secretly swaps them with the originals repaired by Kururu. Her copied components are technically impressive but cannot reproduce the full quality and rider compatibility of Kururu's work.

Hako enters when Tool Toul To becomes involved in constructing a Wind Regalia for Ikki. She wants the opportunity to become his personal tuner and sees the assignment as a path out of the anonymity she feels within the organization.

Her jealousy leads her to steal the repaired original Bagram Cores and substitute copies of her own. She later attempts to secure Ikki as her rider through seduction but is rejected when her compatibility proves inferior to Kururu's.

Hako is subsequently taken by Genesis and becomes Sora's tuner. Because Sora specifically needs her rather than Kururu, she develops a strong attachment to him. She eventually reconciles with Tool Toul To while retaining her connection to Sora.

Kururu Sumeragi is Hako's fellow tuner and principal source of insecurity. Hako resents Kururu's exceptional compatibility with Ikki and steals the Bagram Cores Kururu repaired in an attempt to prove herself superior.

Itsuki Minami is the rider Hako initially wants to tune. Her attempt to replace Kururu fails because Ikki and Kururu are naturally better matched.

Sora Takeuchi becomes Hako's rider after she is taken by Genesis. His need for her specific abilities gives Hako the sense of individual value she had been seeking.

Pyon later assists Hako during an attempt against Kururu.

Ringo Noyamano intervenes against Hako and Pyon during their confrontation with Kururu.
