Getta Taira

Getta is loyal, energetic and much more emotionally direct than Roa. Years of friendship have made him willing to support Roa's ambitions, but that devotion has limits when he feels his own contributions are being dismissed.

He is especially sensitive to being treated as replaceable. Getta wants Roa to recognize the people who have remained beside him rather than viewing every relationship primarily through its usefulness to his ambitions.

His frustration does not erase the depth of their friendship. Even when the two clash, Getta's anger comes largely from wanting Roa to become more considerate toward the people who genuinely care about him.

Getta is an experienced drummer and performs as part of RoaRomin. His percussion skills make him one of the musicians supporting Roa's stage performances.

His Rush Duel Deck uses Thunderbeatle monsters themed after percussion instruments. Thunderbeatle Bassdrum, Thunderbeatle Hi-Hat and Thunderbeatle Snare combine his musical specialty with insect imagery.

His Spell and Trap support allows him to develop his field and strengthen his Thunder monsters. The Deck is closely tailored to his identity as a drummer rather than being borrowed from Roa's strategy.

Getta first appears as part of RoaRomin, supporting Roa during the group's involvement with Yuga and the newly established Rush Duel format.

His most important early storyline develops when Roa's behavior toward his bandmates pushes Getta beyond his patience. He challenges his longtime friend to a Rush Duel, forcing tensions that have existed beneath their partnership into the open.

Getta's confrontation helps Roa recognize how poorly he has treated the people supporting him. Although Getta loses their Duel, the conflict ultimately strengthens their friendship rather than permanently breaking RoaRomin apart.

He subsequently continues performing with the band and remains part of Roa's supporting circle.

Roa Kirishima is Getta's childhood friend and bandleader. Getta is deeply loyal to Roa Kirishima, but he eventually challenges him after becoming frustrated with being taken for granted.

Romin Kirishima is Getta's fellow RoaRomin member and guitarist.

Ushiro Omaeno is RoaRomin's bassist and performs alongside Getta.

Yuga Ohdo becomes acquainted with Getta through the conflict between RoaRomin and the Rush Duel Club.
