Gazelle

Gazelle initially has little sense of ordinary social behavior. After being found by Kaito, she imitates his speech and mannerisms, gradually developing a personality through their time together. This produces an unusual mixture of bluntness, aggression and genuine curiosity.

She becomes deeply attached to Kaito. Their relationship gives her an experience of ordinary human affection that contrasts sharply with the violent world connected to her forgotten past.

Gazelle is also fiercely independent. Even when confronted by riders with overwhelming advantages, she resists being treated as an object belonging to someone else's plan.

Gazelle rides the Sonia Road and possesses the Thorn Regalia. Her movements share the Road's characteristic emphasis on extreme flexibility, sharp changes in direction and whip-like attacks generated through the rider's joints.

Her skill is exceptional even by King-class standards. Gazelle can fight high-level opponents while using the painful mechanics of the Sonia Road at extraordinary intensity.

Gazelle is eventually revealed to combine two enhancement systems: she originated as a first-generation Gravity Child and later became a Brain Charger. Rinta Minami considers her one of the greatest results of his research, and her combination of enhanced spatial perception and acquired capabilities makes her extraordinarily dangerous.

Her neurological characteristics later become especially important because aspects of her consciousness and combat ability are connected to Lind, one of the personalities inhabiting her child's body.

Gazelle enters the narrative through a long flashback explaining Kaito's past. He finds her injured roughly a decade before the main story, when Air Trecks themselves remain obscure. Her presence exposes Kaito to technology and riders far beyond anything he has previously encountered.

The two gradually build a life together while Gazelle recovers. Their relationship also draws Kaito into the hidden conflicts surrounding Gravity Children, the Trophaeum and the scientists responsible for enhanced riders.

Gazelle is revealed as the original Thorn Queen and one of the experimental children connected to Rinta Minami's research. After escaping that world, she becomes pregnant with Kaito's child. Nike eventually finds her, and the resulting confrontation ends with Gazelle mortally wounded.

Rinta recovers Gazelle's body and preserves her unborn child through artificial development. That child becomes the body shared by Akito, Agito and Lind, making Gazelle the biological mother at the center of their unusual existence.

Kaito Wanijima finds Gazelle injured and gives her a place in his life. They gradually fall in love, and Kaito becomes the father of the child she is carrying when her past catches up with them.

Agito Wanijima and Akito Wanijima inhabit the body of Gazelle's biological son, preserved and artificially developed after her death.

Lind is especially connected to Gazelle because the personality carries aspects of her memories and combat instincts within the same body.

Minami Rinta is the scientist responsible for the enhancement research that shaped Gazelle. He later recovers her body and preserves her unborn child.

Nike is tied to the violent circumstances surrounding Gazelle's past. He eventually tracks her down, and their confrontation leads to the injuries that end her life.
