Futoshi Omosadake

Omosadake is extraordinarily lazy. He dislikes unnecessary movement, keeps his eyes closed much of the time and approaches physical activity as something to be minimized whenever possible.

Food is his major source of motivation. He is far more willing to expend energy when eating is involved, a trait the anime exaggerates further through his enthusiasm for mango pudding.

His laziness does not make him completely useless to Deimon. When persuaded or forced onto the field, he can use his substantial body weight in ways the undersized roster otherwise struggles to reproduce.

At 100 kg, Omosadake brings significant mass to Deimon's line. His sumo background also gives him familiarity with using body weight and a low stance to resist or move an opponent.

His main limitation is stamina and motivation. He claims he can only play for about thirty minutes, making him unsuitable as a full-time replacement for Deimon's regular linemen.

In short stretches, however, his size can be strategically valuable. Deimon can place him alongside Kurita when it needs additional mass at the point of attack.

Omosadake is one of the auxiliary athletes Hiruma draws upon when Deimon's tiny roster needs extra bodies. In the manga, he is pulled into action as support during the Amino Cyborgs match despite his reluctance to exert himself.

The anime expands his involvement, showing him helping the Ha-Ha Brothers with line practice before the Kyoshin Poseidon game.

He remains a situational reserve rather than becoming one of Deimon's principal players, but his body type gives the team an option unavailable among most of its regular substitutes.

Youichi Hiruma is responsible for forcing Omosadake into football situations when Deimon needs additional manpower.

Ryokan Kurita plays beside Omosadake when Deimon wants to concentrate additional size on the interior line.

Kazuki Juumonji, Shozo Togano and Koji Kuroki are Deimon's regular young linemen, with Omosadake occasionally providing support when their unit needs another heavy body.
